Injuries begin to mount for Valencia ahead of Barcelona trip

Valencia boss Marcelino is facing a injury crisis ahead of their trip to the Nou Camp on Saturday.

Mouctar Diakhaby is a certainty to miss the game after the RFEF handed him a four match ban for his role in a violent brawl during their Copa del Rey win over Getafe in midweek.

Fellow defender Ezequiel Garay spent the night in hospital with concussion following his involvement in the altercation, and Gabriel Paulista sustained a cut to his head.

Both players trained this morning, but a decision on their fitness is yet to be made.

Ruben Vezo left on a deadline day loan to Levante, meaning that due to the injury concerns, new signing Facundo Roncaglia could be pushed straight into first team action this weekend.

Geoffrey Kondogbia and Goncalo Guedes are already ruled out with hamstring and groin injuries.
