Gareth Bale on the brink of 100 Real Madrid goals

Gareth Bale is on the verge of joining Real Madrid's illustrious 100 club ahead of tonight's Copa del Rey tie against Girona.
The Welsh international netted his 99th goal for the club after making a goal scoring return from injury in their 4-2 weekend win over Espanyol, and it could be a significant night for the former Tottenham player at the Municipal Montilivi,
His rate of goals stands at 0.46 per game for Real Madrid, after scoring 99 in 213 games since signing in 2013, with a goal every 160 minutes from 29 year-old.
Bale has come in for criticism at times during his spell in the Spanish capital, with supporters frustrated by his goal record and issues with injuries.
However he has also provided them with some of their most memorable goals in recent memory, including the winner in the 2014 Copa del Rey final, a goal in the 2014 Champions League final against Atletico, a penalty in the shootout win in the 2016 Champions League final win, again over rivals Atletico and a spectacular double in last season's final win over Liverpool.
