Real Betis sign Jese Rodriguez on loan from PSG

Real Betis have completed the loan signing of out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain forward Jese Rodriguez until the end of the season.

The player, who has not featured in any matchday squad for the French club this season, is now reunited with Quique Setien – whom he worked under at Las Palmas.

The Spaniard – who has not played a single minute of football this season – turns 26 next month while reports from December stated the player was likely to join Real Valladolid.

Jese scored three goals in 16 appearances for his hometown club Las Palmas in a loan stint in the second half of 2016/17 after netting just twice in 14 appearances in Paris.

The former Spain Under-21 international made a total of 94 first-team appearances for Real Madrid and had previously also been linked with loan moves to Huesca and Torino.

His last appearance was for Stoke City, for whom he was on loan last season, in an 11-minute cameo against Everton on 17 March.

The loan move is not said to include a purchase option.
