Celta Vigo set to sack boss Miguel Cardoso

Celta Vigo are set to dismiss boss Miguel Cardoso following Sunday’s 2-1 loss at Real Valladolid, claim multiple reports in Spain.

The Portuguese boss was only appointed at the Galician club in November to replace the sacked Antonio Mohamed but has only managed two victories from 10 matches at the helm.

Indeed, the weekend match was Celta’s fifth consecutive league defeat and they now sit just one place above the relegation zone in La Liga.

Reports in Spain have linked former Malaga boss Michel and Fran Escriba, most recently at Villarreal, to being Cardoso’s successor in Vigo.
