Real Betis striker Antonio Sanabria set for Genoa

Real Betis striker Antonio Sanabria has played his last game for the club ahead of a move to Italian club Genoa, report Marca.

The Paraguayan netted for Los Verdiblancos in Thursday night’s 1-1 draw in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final against Espanyol.

However, he is now set to sign an 18-month loan contract with the Serie A club with a purchase option of €25m included in the deal, says the report.

The 22-year-old has netted six goals this season but has only started seven La Liga matches to date this campaign and has struggled for a sustained run of form.

Sanabria joined Betis from Roma in the summer of 2016 in a €7.5m deal and has a €30m release clause at Los Verdiblancos, but the Italian club still reportedly hold 50% of his rights.

The move to Genoa would see Sanabria replace Krzysztof Piatek, who is bound for Milan.
