Arsenal boss Unai Emery has appeared to confirm the club are in talks to sign out-of-favour Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez.
Various reports have linked the 25-year-old with a January transfer to Arsenal as he has only played 17 minutes of La Liga action this season and is mainly deployed in the Copa del Rey.
Gunners boss Emery coached Denis at Sevilla during the 2014-15 campaign while the midfielder has also previously had a stint at Villarreal.
“The club is working with every situation that can help us,” Emery told reporters on Saturday.
“I cannot speak about individual players but I know the club is working on different possibilities if it can help us this month for our competition.
“The transfer window is difficult for the market but the club are working – if one player comes to help us then I am happy but the club is doing that and I am going to wait.”
