Cristiano Ronaldo keen on Marcelo reunion at Juventus

Cristiano Ronaldo is hoping to lure former Real Madrid team mate Marcelo to Juventus, with the Brazilian currently out of favour under manager Santiago Solari.

The pair remain firm friends following their time together at the Santiago Bernabeu, and reports in AS Sport this morning claim that Ronaldo wants the left back to follow his lead and head for Turin.

Marcelo is contracted to Los Blancos until 2022, after signing a new deal with the club in September 2017, stating at the time that he wished to end his career in the Spanish capital.

However, Ronaldo is determined to change his friend's mind, and according to these reports he has spoken regularly with the Brazilian over a potential switch to Serie A.

There is no movement from either side at this stage, however rumours of a potential departure could be strengthened by the fact that Marcelo has been an unused substitute in Real's last two games, wins over Real Betis and Sevilla, despite not being injured.

He is not believed to be looking for a move away, and currently there are no negotiations to do so, and any transfer would have to be initiated by the player himself, with the club unwilling to lose a senior player.
