Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro has defended his side’s lack of goals and insists blame should not be attributed to the attackers.
Only 12 La Liga goals have been scored between Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema, Mariano Diaz and Vinicius Junior this season after 20 rounds of matches.
“The lack of goals is not just an issue for the team’s forwards,” Casemiro told reporters after the match, as cited by Marca.
“There is always an expectation on us to score goals but that is something for every player and not just those at the top of the pitch.
“The forwards are doing very well at the moment, what Vinicius Junior doing is incredible, but we must be patient with him, and Karim Benzema is having a fantastic season too.”
