Santiago Solari: ‘Real Madrid must support Vinicius Junior’

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari has once more heaped praise on forward Vinicus Junior but warned ‘we must give him the support he needs’.

The Argentine Coach referenced the teenager’s age and stated that it was important for senior players at the club to help him continue to develop.

“We have to look out for Vinicius and give him the support he needs,” Solari told a press conference, as cited by Diario AS.

“He has all the talent in the world and show far he is showing that both in training and most importantly, in matches.

“But he is still just an 18-year-old and he has developed a lot here, so we have to recognise that but also not get too carried away.

“Sometimes teenagers grow up very quickly when they are exposed to this situation, but they have the support of first-team players.

“We had a very inexperienced team at Betis but for every younger player we still had a Sergio Ramos or a Casemiro, who are important in that role.”
