Real Betis have approached Olympique Lyonnais for the transfer of right wing-back Kenny Tete, according to reports.
Estadio Deportivo and El Mundo Deportivo carry the report of Betis’ interest in the 23-year-old, who joined the French club from Ajax in 2017 in a €4m deal.
Tete has featured in only 10 matches for Lyon this season of which just five have come in Ligue 1 while he has won 12 caps at senior level for The Netherlands.
The reports claim that Lyon are open to a sale but the current injury to first-choice right full-back Rafael da Silva may scupper such a deal, and they would need to sign a replacement to anticipate an exit.
Betis have Antonio Barragan and Francis Guerrero currently vying for the right wing-back slot.
