Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata ‘offered to Barcelona, Atletico Madrid’

Alvaro Morata looks likely to leave Chelsea this month with the player offered to both Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, say Diario AS.

The Spain international had been strongly linked with a move to Sevilla who have declared their interest but have admitted a deal would be ‘extremely difficult’.

The player’s representative Juanma Lopez arrived in the Andalusian capital on Monday, claimed Diario AS, in attempt to accelerate the Spain international’s move to Los Rojiblancos and has now flown to London.

Morata joined the Blues from Real Madrid in a €65m deal last summer but has struggled for form for the majority of his time in the English capital.

Both Barca and Atleti are keen on attacking reinforcements with Munir El Haddadi set to leave the Camp Nou and Diego Costa’s injury problems in the Spanish capital.

Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Roma have also been linked to the striker, who is said to be keen to exit London.

“We are interested in Morata, but it is a very complicated operation due to his cost,” Sevilla Director of Football Joaquin Caparros told Sevilla club media on Tuesday.

“The player wants to come here over other options, but the negotiation with Chelsea will be very complicated.”
