Agent denies Barcelona’s Munir El Haddadi has reached Sevilla agreement

The agent of Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi has confirmed his client will leave the club but no agreement has been signed with Sevilla.

Cadena Cope reported earlier this month that the Andalusian club had reached a pre-contract agreement with the 23-year-old, whose deal at the Camp Nou expires in 2019.

“There is no signed agreement with Sevilla,” Francisco Valdivieso told Cadena Cope.

“They are an option for us but nothing has been signed and nothing has been reached, but Munir has taken the decision to leave Barcelona for more first-team football, he wants to play.

“If Munir leaves in January, it is because Barca have come to that conclusion.”

Munir has made 33 La Liga appearances for Barca but has made just one league start this campaign and has spent the past two seasons out on loan, firstly at Valencia and then at Alaves.

He netted 14 goals in 37 appearances for the Basque club last season but was widely expected to leave the Camp Nou on a permanent basis this summer, but player exits ensured he was retained.

El Mundo Deportivo have previously stated Alaves, Real Betis, Celta Vigo, Schalke, Marseille, West Ham and Napoli are among the clubs interested in a potential deal.
