Guangzhou Evergrande ‘bid €50m for Barcelona’s Malcom’

Barcelona have received a €50m offer from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou Evergrande for forward Malcom, say reports.

The 21-year-old has struggled for playing time since his €41m arrival from Bordeaux this summer, featuring in just 296 minutes across all competitions.

Diario AS have cited a report from journalist Bruno Andrade in his Ora Bolas blog than an offer has been received for €50m, but that could yet go up further if initially rejected.

The player is said to desire more first-team minutes and this would be the main driving force behind his move to the Far East, where he would earn a comparable wage to his current deal.

The Catalan giants have also processed a €50m sale of another Brazilian player to China as Paulinho has re-joined Guangzhou Evergrande.
