Real Madrid are monitoring a deal for Sevilla midfielder Pablo Sarabia whose contract contains an €18m release clause, say Diario AS.
The 26-year-old has netted 15 goals this season for the Andalusian club and has been a model of consistency since joining from Getafe in a €1m deal back in 2016.
The Madrid-native started his career at Los Blancos and even made a Copa del Rey appearance in the first-team before joining Getafe in 2011.
Sarabia is now being linked with a call-up to the Spanish national side while his reported affordable release clause may be alerting a series of top clubs around Europe.
The report cites Sevilla’s ‘anxiety’ over the release clause, with the player’s deal in the Andalusian capital in the summer of 2020.
Sarabia is said to have recently gone on holiday with Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal.
