Zinedine Zidane ‘considering’ Manchester United approach

Manchester United have approached former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to take over the Coach next summer, report Diario AS.

The Frenchman, who left his role at the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this year, is said to be open to the offer but has not yet given a firm response.

United have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on an interim basis until the end of the season following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho on Tuesday.

However, a permanent position will open in the summer and Zidane – who is said to be keen to return to football management – is a target for the Red Devils.

Zidane secured three consecutive Champions League titles in 18 months in charge of Los Blancos and is said to fit the profile United are searching for.

Current Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is said to be the favourite to permanently replace Mourinho yet unlike the Argentine, Zidane is a free agent.
