Valencia’s injury crisis has deepened with the news midfielder Francis Coquelin is set to miss three weeks due to a soleus injury.
The former Arsenal midfielder suffered the injury in Saturday’s draw at Eibar and joins a growing list which includes Geoffrey Kondogbia and Goncalo Guedes among the long-term absentees.
The French midfielder suffered an Achilles tendon rupture in March meaning he missed six months of action, although he has been a regular in the side since his return in October.
The 27-year-old moved to the Mestalla in January but he is reported by local media to be available for selection again after the forthcoming winter break.
