Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has confirmed he has told Italian club Inter that he will coach them later in his career.
Simeone spent two seasons at Inter as a player, winning a UEFA Cup in 1998, and had previously been linked with their coaching position.
“I have told Inter already 2,000 times, it will happen,” Simeone told Radio Anchi'o, as cited by Diario AS.
“I will continue to work day by day with piece of mind, I have one year left of my contract here and at the moment we are working very well.
“I hope to continue on the same path that we have worked on for the last 12 or 13 years, my style is in accordance with the club.
“This club has a personality like many others – Juventus, Barcelona, Athletic Club Bilbao – so you have to get the players and personalities around that, they are who are important.”
