Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari: Isco has to ‘accept’ whistles

Santiago Solari admits Isco has to ‘accept’ the whistles from Real Madrid fans because ‘we didn’t play well’ against CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

“I’m sorry because we’d qualified and we wanted to wrap up first place with a good night, but it didn’t go like that,” said the Coach after Los Blancos’ 3-0 Champions League defeat.

“We started the game well, the first 30-35 minutes were good, but we weren’t ruthless in any of our play and they punished us.

“I took risks by naming the team I did, but it was necessary. Vinicius did well for the first half hour but wasn’t ruthless with his flair.

“I don’t like any of my players being whistled with regards to Isco, but we didn’t play well and we have to accept them.

“I didn’t bring off Bale because there was also Marcelo we had to protect and Bale was easier to manage.

“Courtois is my No 1, but Keylor has my respect: I try to make decisions and I’m sure I get them wrong.”
