Roma sporting director Monchi has been linked with a return to Sevilla just 20 months after leaving the club, according to reports from Italy.
El Mundo Deportivo cite a report from Tuttomercatoweb that the Italian club have sounded out Massimo Mirabelli – formerly of Roma and Milan – as a potential replacement.
Monchi is under pressure due to Roma’s substandard results in Serie A this campaign with his own transfer market moves coming in for a large amount of scrutiny.
The Italian club currently lie seventh in the Italian top flight, 20 points behind league leaders Juventus.
The sporting director - who spent 17 years of his career in the position at Sevilla - has consistently been linked with a move to Barcelona throughout his career.
