Zinedine Zidane ‘will return to coaching soon’ almost six months after resigning from his position as Real Madrid boss.
The Frenchman led Los Blancos to three consecutive Champions League title and his son Enzo – who now plays for second-tier Rayo Majadahonda on loan from Swiss club Lausanne – has given an update on his situation.
“My father loves football and he loves to coach, this is clear,” Enzo told an interview with Diario AS.
“It seems likely that he will return to coaching soon but right now he is resting, and this is something that he needed to do.
“Managing Madrid was beautiful for him but it was also hugely demanding and involved a mass amount of work, so he is now recovering.”
Zinedine won a total of nine trophies in just two-and-a-half years in the Madrid hotseat.
