Champions League line-ups: Roma-Real Madrid

Marcos Llorente starts only his second game of the season for Real Madrid against Roma in the Champions League this evening.

Llorente fills in for the injured Casemiro in defensive midfield, partnering usual suspects Luka Modric and Toni Kroos, with Dani Ceballos dropping to the substitutes' bench.

Elsewhere, Dani Carvajal starts his first match for two months, replacing Alvaro Odriozola at right-back, and Marco Asensio makes way for Lucas Vazquez out wide.

However, Isco – who has played just 78 minutes under Santiago Solari – is nowhere to be seen in Los Blancos’ matchday squad.

Roma, meanwhile, are without five first-team personnel in Daniele De Rossi, Lorenzo Pellegrini, Javier Pastore, Diego Perotti and Edin Dzeko.

The two sides come into this game on the back of surprise League defeats, with Madrid going down 3-0 at Eibar and Roma suffering a 1-0 defeat to Udinese.

However, Los Merengues triumphed 2-0 when they met at the Santiago Bernabeu last time out.
