Former Barcelona captain Xavi Hernandez believes there is ‘no chance’ of Neymar ever returning to the club following his departure last year.
Citing the nature of the Brazilian’s €222m move to Paris Saint-Germain, Xavi cannot see any circumstances of the forward returning to the Camp Nou.
“No I do not think it will happen,” Xavi told Cadena Ser when asked directly about Neymar.
“His departure was not amicable so I do not see that possibility (of a return) to be on the table, I would say there is no chance of that happening.
“There is no doubt about his potential and if he matured he would be close to reaching the level of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but there is more to the context than that.”
