Diario Sport: Barcelona look to Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombèlé

Barcelona are shifting their attention towards Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombèlé as they aim to restructure their squad in 2019, say Diario Sport.

The Frenchman has starred for the French giants since joining from Amiens in 2017 with his fine form recognised by his first full international caps for the France national team.

This season, the 21-year-old has represented Lyon in 13 matches in Ligue 1, four in the Champions League group stage and he has contributed with two goals and four assists.

He is primarily a deep-lying ‘pivot’ midfielder and the report states he would be an affordable alternative to Barca’s ‘prime’ targets of Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong.

Ndombélé’s contract at Lyon runs through until 2023 and the French club would be reluctant to sell for less than €60m.
