Report: Adrien Rabiot says ‘yes’ to Barcelona move

Adrien Rabiot has already said ‘yes’ to a summer move to Barcelona and will not renew with Paris Saint-Germain, claim El Mundo Deportivo.

The 23-year-old, who is out of contract in Paris next June, has been linked with a number of top European clubs including Manchester City, Juventus, Milan and Liverpool.

PSG are said to have increased their offer to an annual wage from €7m plus bonuses up to a sum of €9m plus bonuses.

Barca are reported to lead the chase for Rabiot’s signature, and he would only consider renewing at PSG for a base rate of €10m annually, which could compromise their UEFA Financial Fair Play position.

Whilst the agreement is ‘not yet closed’, the report states Rabiot’s mother and representatives have met Blaugrana technical director Eric Abidal.

The Catalan giants were strongly linked to Rabiot this summer but instead signed Arthur Melo and Arturo Vidal to replace the outgoing Andres Iniesta and Paulinho.

Barca are said to be wary of the situation due to Dani Ceballos and Antoine Griezmann both ‘agreeing’ moves to the Camp Nou before later changing their mind.
