Alaves want deal for Real Madrid’s Marcos Llorente

Alaves want to bring Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente back to the club this January, according to a report in Diario AS.

Llorente only returned to Madrid from a loan spell with Alaves in 2017 but started just five times in La Liga last season while he has made just one substitute appearance this campaign.

The 23-year-old is the least used player in Madrid’s first team squad and thus should be available on a cut-price deal this January.

The former Spain Under-21 international starred for the Basque club in 2016-17, helping the club to the Copa del Rey final and a top half finish in La Liga.

The report says that Llorente is close friends with star midfielder Ibai Gomez and such a move could convince him to stay.
