Real Madrid consider Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Falcao moves

Real Madrid are considering strengthening their forward line with a move for either Zlatan Ibrahimovic (pictured) or Monaco striker Radamel Falcao, say reports.

Diario Sport claim the two experienced strikers would be realistic short-term options to bolster the club’s attacking options for the second half of the campaign.

Now 37, Ibrahimovic has netted 22 goals in just 25 appearances for the MLS side – where his contract is about to expire – having joined from Manchester United at the start of the year.

The striker previously joined Barcelona in 2009 and hit 22 goals across 46 appearances for the club.

Falcao – who previously played with Atletico Madrid – is at struggling Monaco in France, but the report claims he is eager to leave the club who are second from bottom in Ligue 1.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit has left a shortage of goals at Los Blancos with doubts over whether Karim Benzema or Gareth Bale can plug the goal shortage alone.
