Juventus look at James Rodriguez deal

James Rodriguez will not be signed permanently by Bayern Munich and Juventus will prevent him from returning to Real Madrid, say reports.

Diario AS cite Italian reports from Corriere dello Sport this weekend that the Italian champions believe they can provide the perfect platform for the Colombian playmaker to excel.

The 27-year-old, who has recently suffered an ankle ligament injury, is said to be unhappy at the Bavarian club and will seek to find pastures new next summer.

The creative midfielder joined Bayern in the summer of 2017 on a two-year loan deal from Madrid but has fallen out of favour under new boss Niko Kovac.

Bayern also possess a €35m option to buy at the end of his current spell but reports suggest this will now not be exercised.

Due to the emergence of Isco and Marco Asensio, James is unlikely to find a starting spot back at the Bernabeu which is said to have kickstarted Juve’s interest.

The former Porto and Monaco star spent three seasons at Los Blancos, helping them to two European titles, but started just 13 La Liga games in his final campaign.
