Line-ups: Spain v Bosnia-Herzegovina

David de Gea is among those dropped in an experimental Spain XI for tonight’s friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina.

De Gea had been roundly criticised for his display during Spain’s 3-2 Nations League defeat to Croatia, and taking his place between the sticks is Kepa Arrizabalaga, whose €80m transfer to Chelsea in August saw him become the world’s most expensive goalkeeper.

Elsewhere, Espanyol centre-back Mario Hermoso debuts alongside Real Sociedad’s Diego Llorente in the heart of defence, while Rodri Hernandez and Suso join Dani Ceballos in a new-look midfield.

Finally, Alvaro Morata is entrusted with spearheading an attacking trident that also includes Real Madrid pair Isco and Marco Asensio.

The match comes just hours after England beat Croatia 2-1 to deny La Roja of a place in the Nations League Final Four.

Nonetheless, it is a celebratory occasion for ex-Spain midfielder David Silva, who will be commemorated before kick-off, with the game being played in his homeland of Gran Canaria.
