Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric insists criticism does not phase Sergio Ramos following comments from his fellow Croat Dejan Lovren.
The Liverpool defender told reporters earlier this month that the Madrid captain ‘makes more mistakes than me’ ahead of the two nations going head-to-head in Zagreb on Thursday.
“I know Ramos very well, he is a great player and a great captain,” Modric told reporters, as cited by Diario AS.
“It is natural that in this position you have to deal with a lot of criticism, receiving it comes with the territory and the truth is that in football, we forget things easily.
“He has a lot of character, he will not be distracted by criticism.”
