Real Betis captain Joaquin: “I want my own TV show”

Real Betis star Joaquin Sanchez has admitted he would love to have his own TV when he eventually retires from football.

The 37-year-old has a contract at Los Verdiblancos until June 2020 but he confirmed he was eyeing up a move into entertainment after his playing days were over.

“Yes, yes, I can see myself (on television),” Joaquin told Marca, as cited by El Mundo Deportivo.

“I would love to have my own TV show. I would love it, I would enjoy it, I would have a good time. It is a facet in my life that when football is over, I would love to be able to have.

“Quique Setien? He is a Coach we want to have for many years at Betis, he is good for all of Betis and to me this seems to be his natural home.

“He has a modern philosophy and can coach anyone, whether that be Barcelona or another team – they talk of that because of the philosophy.

“Right now Quique is happy in Seville.”
