Marca: Jan Oblak wants Atletico Madrid exit

Goalkeeper Jan Oblak is unhappy at Atletico Madrid and would be open to leaving the club as early as January, according to a report in Marca.

The Slovenian shot-stopper’s current deal at Atleti runs through until June 2021 but the reports states he is unhappy he has not yet been offered a renewal on improved terms.

The 25-year-old has become a bedrock of the club’s recent successes and has established himself as one of the world’s elite goalkeepers.

“I don't know, I cannot say for sure but at the moment, yes I am here,” Oblak is cited as saying by Marca.

The report continues by stating the former Benfica goalkeeper has made his intentions clear to Atleti president Enrique Cerezo, delegate Miguel Angel Gil Marin and sporting director Andrea Berta.

Oblak’s current release clause is said to stand at €100m – which would represent a world record fee for a goalkeeper.
