Former Barcelona captain Andres Iniesta believes it would be ‘difficult’ for Neymar to return to the club but it ‘would not hurt’ if he joined Real Madrid.
Now at Japanese club Vissel Kobe, Iniesta admitted a return to the Camp Nou for the Brazilian would not be easy after he left to join Paris Saint-Germain for €222m last year.
“It would be a fantastic signing for Madrid but it would not hurt me,” Iniesta told an interview with Cadena Ser.
“They would bring a unique player into their squad but in football these decisions can happen and you live with them.
“Barcelona? I see them as having the potential to win every title available for them, they have new players who have adapted well.
“Can Neymar return to the Camp Nou? It would be difficult, I could not rule it out of course but it would be difficult for him.
“Thiago Alcantara? That situation is different as he came through the academy and he has Barca’s exact profile.”
