Sporting CP want Sevilla striker Luis Muriel

Portuguese giants Sporting CP are plotting a January move for Sevilla striker Luis Muriel, according to a report in ABC de Sevilla.

The Colombian striker has fallen out of favour at Los Rojiblancos and only made his first La Liga start of the campaign in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Real Sociedad.

“Morally the goal gives me a lot of motivation,” Muriel told reporters, citing his strike which was ruled out for offside at the Anoeta.

“In these months I am working hard not to be left out. I have been doing things well and the Coach has noticed.”

Muriel has fallen behind Wissam Ben Yedder and Andre Silva in the attacking preferences for Sevilla Coach Pablo Machin and could seek an exit in light of Sporting’s interest.
