Barcelona ‘to offer Chelsea €40m plus Malcom’ for Willian

Barcelona are open to the idea of offering the out-of-favour Malcom to Chelsea in order to bring Willian to the Camp Nou, say reports in Spain.

La Sexta cite reports from the summer transfer window that the Catalan giants saw four bids for the Chelsea forward rejected, including a late attempt to land him for €60m.

The Brazilian international is said to be a long-term target for Coach Ernesto Valverde, and the club are now willing to use summer signing Malcom as a makeweight in any deal.

The report claims that Barca could value the 30-year-old at up to €80m but would only pay half that amount plus the former Bordeaux forward – whom they signed for €41m this summer.

The Blaugrana are said ‘to be willing to cut their losses’ on Malcom, who has made just two substitute appearances in La Liga totalling 25 minutes.
