Barcelona had agreement for Vinicius Junior – report

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior had a previous agreement in place with Barcelona whilst at Flamengo, say Cadena Cope.

The Brazilian’s performance in last year’s South American Under-17 Championship are said to have persuaded the Catalan giants to act and tie down his signature.

However, Madrid proceeded to announce the signing of Vinicius in March 2017 with the player arriving in the Spanish capital this summer after his 18th birthday.

The same report claims that whilst the fee for Vinicius came in at €45m but Madrid also paid an extra €16m split between agent fees and rewarding the Brazilian’s family.

The teenager starred for Madrid in their 4-0 win at Melilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.
