Barcelona, Huesca face 'offensive chants' punishment

Fans of Barcelona and Huesca have both been reported to the authorities following ‘offensive chants’ at recent La Liga matches.

A complaint has been filed to the Competition Committee of the RFEF and the Anti-Violence Commission following the complaints of chants from the fans.

The incidents are said to have occurred in Barcelona’s recent home match against Sevilla, with around 800 fans of the Blaugrana said to be involved relating to derogatory chants about Real Madrid.

For Huesca, the charge relates to their recent home clash against Espanyol with around 250 chanting against visiting striker Borja Iglesias – who played for their neighbours Real Zaragoza.

The incidents are said to have occurred for about 25 seconds and 10 seconds respectively.

The relevant legislation violated against is that against violence, racism, xenophobia and intolerance in sport.
