Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara is set for six weeks out after sustaining an ankle injury, ruling him out of Spain’s upcoming matches.
The former Barcelona player is now set to miss La Roja’s upcoming matches – a Nations League clash in Croatia and a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The 27-year-old sustained the ankle damage in his side’s clash with SV Rödinghausen, where he left the stadium on crutches.
Thiago has been a fundamental part of Niko Kovac’s side this season, participating in 14 of Bayern’s 15 games so far this campaign, netting one goal and registering an assist.
