Real Betis defender Marc Bartra has emerged as a prime January transfer target for Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
El Desmarque has followed up on a report from OK Diario’s Eduardo Inda on Spanish TV programme El Chiriguinto which stated that Bartra was at the top of the shopping list at the European champions.
The 27-year-old joined Los Verdiblancos last January from Borussia Dortmund in a €10m deal and now has a €60m release clause in his contract.
Bartra has since been recalled to the Spanish national squad and has emerged as a target for Madrid who have concerns over prolonged poor form from Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane.
