Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke has written off his side’s 4-0 loss at Borussia Dortmund last week as ‘a fluke result’.
The Spain international was part of the Atleti side who fell to the heavy loss in last week’s Champions League clash but, speaking after his side’s 2-0 win over Real Sociedad, he did not appear concerned.
“We have a good rhythm and the defeat (at Dortmund) was a fluke,” Koke told Movistar+, as cited by Marca.
“It was an unlucky result which does not reflect anything and anyone watching would know the score line was not what happened on the pitch.
“It is true they were more clinical than us but that was it and we have now bounced back against Real Sociedad with a good win.
“We were eager to win for our fans and for ourselves, and we have done it – now we are looking forward with a positive outlook.”
