It is claimed Real Madrid will sack Julen Lopetegui and confirm Antonio Conte as their new Coach by Monday afternoon.
According to Onda Cero, Lopetegui will be sacked ‘in the next few hours’ following Madrid’s 5-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Clasico on Sunday.
Furthermore, the radio station goes as far as saying Conte will be ‘presented’ at 13:00 GMT on Monday.
The Italian has been the hot favourite to take the reins at the Santiago Bernabeu for some time.
He led Juventus to three Serie A titles and Italy to the Euro 2016 quarter-finals, before guiding Chelsea to Premier League glory last year.
He was sacked by the Blues over the summer but is understood to be on the verge of releasing himself from his contract, which otherwise expires next June.
Cadena COPE adds Conte is cutting his holiday in Egypt short so he can board a flight to London, where he currently resides.
Thibaut Courtois on El Pais' claim that he did not want Antonio Conte at #RealMadrid: "I emphatically deny what they published about me. They spread lies, which hurt me as a professional, and I expect a retraction as I'm considering legal action" #CFC https://t.co/H5eu7LgzSN— footballespana (@footballespana_) October 28, 2018
