Barcelona rejected approaches from Italian duo Inter and Napoli for midfielder Denis Suarez, citing his value at €40m, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
The 24-year-old had been strongly linked with a move away from the Camp Nou this summer but despite remaining at the club, he has not played a minute of first-team football this season.
The Galician joined the club from Manchester City in 2013 and has since enjoyed stints at Sevilla and Villarreal before becoming a peripheral figure in Barca’s squad.
To date, Suarez has made 63 first-team appearances for the Blaugrana but is once more being linked to an exit from the club in January to earn more minutes.
