Spartak Moscow appoint Spaniard Raul Riancho

Spartak Moscow have appointed Raul Riancho as their new Coach on a temporary basis following the dismissal of Massimo Carrera.

The Italian was dismissed by the Russian club on Monday despite leading the club to the 2017 domestic title, but form has since nosedived.

Riancho has never previously been a Coach anywhere but has been the number two at Dynamo Kiev and Ukraine before assuming the rule at Spartak earlier this year.

The Cantabrian native had previously held coaching roles at Gimnastica de Torrelavega, Racing Santander and Levante before moving to Eastern Europe.

Spartak are in the same Europa League group as Villarreal, whom they drew 3-3 with, while they face Glasgow Rangers on Thursday.
