Neymar ‘open to Barcelona return’

Neymar has been sending signals to Barcelona that he is open to the possibility of returning to the club from Paris Saint-Germain, say reports in Spain.

A report in El Mundo Deportivo outlines how the Brazilian remains unhappy in the French capital and the Catalan giants believe they would have a strong chance of re-signing him.

The playmaker joined the Parisians in a world record €222m deal in 2017 after his release clause was triggered and he has subsequently heavily been linked to Real Madrid.

The club’s attitude towards the player – after being dissatisfied with how he engineered his exit from the Camp Nou – is said to have shifted, thus ‘opening the door’ for a return.

The report cites how Neymar has regularly returned to Barcelona to catch up with his former teammates and his annoyance at being ‘overshadowed’ by PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe.

Madrid also still want the player with president Florentino Perez particularly a fan, but Barca are in the reckoning too for a future move.
