Vinicius Junior ‘will be patient’ for Real Madrid chance

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior insists he will be patient at the club as he waits to establish a first-team place.

The 18-year-old has played just 12 minutes for Madrid across two substitute appearances in La Liga so far but is now being selected for first-team matchday squads.

“Everything will happen in its own time,” Vinicius told reporters, as cited by Diario AS.

“I must be patient and continue to work hard, it has been an honour to appear for team and be able to help our objectives.

“It was incredible to make my debut at the Bernabeu in the derby against Atletico and to be part of this squad makes me very happy.

“I believe I will continue to improve as a player and even after this international break I will return to Madrid as a better player.

“At this club I play alongside the best players in the world and this is a dream for any player, but right now I am only focused on my objectives with Brazil (Under-20 team).”
