Real Madrid are sweating over the fitness of Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema after they pulled up during Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Alaves.
Benzema was substituted at half-time with what Marca described as ‘an injury to his right hip’ and will undergo tests on Sunday.
The Frenchman had started the season with braces against Girona and Leganes but has now gone seven games without a goal.
As for Bale, Los Blancos have already confirmed that the Welshman felt ‘fatigue’ before he was replaced in the second half.
The No 11 looked to be in some discomfort as he clutched his thigh, despite being rested for his side’s midweek trip to CSKA Moscow.
Marca assures he is still able to join up with Wales, who face Spain next Thursday, but warns that could yet change.
The forwards’ woes only add to those suffered by Madrid, who have gone over six hours without a goal and four games without a win.
