Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has been named in the Wales squad for their upcoming matches against Spain and the Republic of Ireland.
Bale was not risked for Madrid’s trip to CSKA Moscow this week after he pulled up with a thigh problem during Madrid’s 0-0 draw with arch-rivals Atletico on Saturday.
Bale is named in a 25-man squad which also includes Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey as they face Spain in a friendly in Cardiff on 11 October before facing the Republic of Ireland in Dublin five days later in the UEFA Nations League.
The news is a boost for Real Madrid and should mean the 28-year-old is available for Saturday’s La Liga trip to Alaves.
