Girona midfielder Pere Pons admits ‘I thought I fouled Clement Lenglet at first’ during his side’s 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Sunday.
“It was an incident that happened in the thick of things,” he said after the game.
“I took a blow but when I got up, I apologised to Lenglet and shook his hand because a foul went against us and and I thought it was my fault at first.
“No-one was to blame and ultimately it was decided by a third party, the VAR. I didn’t even notice the contact with his elbow.”
