Villarreal boss Javier Calleja has drawn comparisons between Glasgow Rangers and Leganes: “They will take advantage of set pieces.”
The Yellow Submarine edged out a 1-0 victory at Leganes on Sunday and now face the Scottish team, who are back in Europe following a hiatus.
“Rangers are very similar to Leganes,” Calleja told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“Their play is marked with intensity, they play a direct style of game and look to take advantage of set pieces that come their way.
“To combat that, we have to look to keep possession and take advantage of openings and make sure we do not make any mistakes defensively.
“We will draw on our experience against Leganes and remain patient with our approach and have belief in what we want to do.
“Rotations? Yes probably, when you have a lot of games that is what you need to do and the fixtures are coming faster now.”
