Atletico Madrid’s Rodri insists Antoine Griezmann was not affected by the words of Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos: “He will do his talking on the pitch.”
Ramos criticised the French forward for his opinion that he was at the ‘top table’ of football but Rodri believes Griezmann’s performance in the victory at Monaco shows he has brushed this off.
“Griezmann can speak on the pitch, if others want to talk off it then they are free to do so,” Rodri told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“He was not affected by the words of Ramos, he can speak if he wants to but that will not impact what happens on the pitch.
“Settling in at Atletico? Every day I have a greater understanding with my teammates, I feel more at home here and I am very happy but motivated too.
“When you go a goal behind in the Champions League it is not easy to come back but we showed a lot of personality to come back and win the match.”
