Dani Alves: Real Madrid more dangerous without Cristiano Ronaldo

Dani Alves believes Real Madrid ‘are more of a team’ and ‘more dangerous’ since the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus.

Echoing similar comments made by Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco, the Paris Saint-Germain defender does not believe Madrid are any weaker following the Portuguese star’s exit.

“I think that, contrary to what everybody thinks, Madrid is more of a team without Cristiano,” Alves is cited as saying by Marca.

“Now it's a bit more difficult than it was before, before it was complicated for the opposition but focused a lot on Cristiano, and now it's a bit more dangerous, at least because of how I see football and my concept of the game.

“Madrid are more of a team now, it is obvious that Cristiano is a brutal loss for Madrid, but Madrid are Madrid.

“People always want new challenges and it does not surprise me that he has moved on, he did great things at Madrid and now he wants to replicate that elsewhere.

“I think that, like me at Barcelona, he was very comfortable and now believes he needs a new challenge.

“PSG need a different spirit and mentality, but I have good feelings and things are improving here.”
